TRAQ – Tree Risk Assessment Qualified

In line with our commitment to ongoing training and education, Metropolitan Forestry Services had four people become TRAQ certified. This involved participating in and passing a 3-day course held at Powder Valley Nature Center in October 2019. The ISA sponsored course is both challenging and eye-opening.  It teaches arborists to not only look at the tree, but also it’s surroundings to better assess potential risk and consequences should part or the whole tree fail. Once the assessment is completed, the findings are then presented to the homeowner or property manager along with recommendations to mitigate and/or eliminate the risk.
